Our summer courses are designed to cover the first month of each subject, giving students a leg up before the start of the following school year. This is the best possible way to ease students into the challenges of their KS3, GCSE and A Level courses.
Our summer courses run during the months of July and August and, by the end, students will have a solid understanding of the concepts and theory that they will need for a seamless transition in their coming school term.
Students will also have the opportunity to close any gaps in understanding from the previous year. The successful study of maths and science depends on cumulative knowledge – and gaps can make it difficult to succeed.
The step-up from GCSE to A Level is a big one and it catches many students out. For this reason, we highly recommend these courses for students going into year 12.
For students continuing KS3 or heading into the second year of their GCSE or A Level courses, meanwhile, we can lay the groundwork for the syllabus with exercises and lessons on theory.
Among other key benefits, our students will:
- Cover the first critical topics and close gaps from previous years, ensuring a good start to their course.
- Build confidence so that they are comfortable with the requirements of the coming academic year.
- Improve their grades even from their first mock exams at school.
Our courses are designed to allow students time to assimilate new information and to ask questions about anything that they do not understand.
The dates for this year are:
- Monday 2nd July 2018 – Sunday 26th August 2018
All of our tutors are highly qualified in their fields and are equipped with a high standard of educational and teaching skills (and all staff are DBS checked).
