Programming courses

August 2017

Programming is now an extremely desirable skill in almost every field and one that is invaluable for the students of today. We have created a series of methodical, enjoyable and hands-on courses to meet the frequent requests that we have received for training in this area.

As most of our students have little or no experience in programming, our courses are accessible to all levels and begin with fundamental programming concepts.

We provide courses on the most common languages, which are widely used in industry, and use the latest technology in our teaching.

All of our programming courses combine theory with examples and hands-on exercises, offering a unique opportunity for our students to learn and come to enjoy the art of programming.

Each course runs for 3 days a week, over 2 weeks. This allows time for students to assimilate new information and to ask questions about anything that they do not understand. The dates for this year are:

  • Monday 14 August 2017 – Friday 25 August 2017

Our most popular courses include C#, Python and the R statistical package. We welcome new students and offer training in other languages on demand, so please contact us to discuss your needs.

C#

C# (pronounced C sharp) is a modern object-oriented and component-based programming language similar to C++ and Java.

During the course, students create, compile and run object-oriented C# programs, and are taught the fundamental concepts, syntax and semantics of programming.

This course is suitable for students with little or no programming experience and offers hands-on practice using this modern procedural programming language.

Python

Python is a general-purpose interpreted, interactive, object-oriented, and high-level programming language. It is designed for ease of use and fast development of projects.

During the course, students will create, compile and run object-oriented Python programs, and are taught the fundamental concepts, syntax and semantics of programming.

This course is suitable for students with little or no programming experience and will offer hands-on practice using this modern procedural programming language.

R Statistical Package

R is an open-source mathematical package for statistical computing and graphics.

During the course, students will create scripts for data analysis and visualisation, and are taught the fundamental concepts, syntax and semantics of programming.

This course is suitable for students with little or no programming experience and will offer hands-on practice using this modern procedural programming language.
