Easter Revision Courses – GCSE Biology

Course duration:

25 hours.

Dates & Times: 

Starting on  Monday, 9th April 2018 to Friday 13th April 2018, 3 pm – 8 pm daily.


Based on the Edexcel specification but suitable for other boards.


During the course, students will learn the theory of all the topics, focusing on becoming able to describe and explain key concepts, to perform numerical calculations using the appropriate formulae and to answer context-based questions following a logical and concise approach.

Through exposure to past papers, students will be able to develop and improve their exam techniques and methodologies.

Syllabus covered:

Organisms and Life Processes

Life processes, the variety of living organisms.

Animal Physiology

Breathing and gas exchange, food and digestion, blood and circulations, coordination, chemical coordination, homeostasis and exertion, reproduction in humans.

Plant Physiology

Plants and food, transport in plants, chemical coordination in plants, reproduction in plants.


Ecology and environments

Ecosystems, human influences on the environment.

Variation and Selection

Chromosomes, genes and DNA, cell division, genes and inheritance, natural selection and evolution, selective breading.

Microorganisms and Genetic Engineering

Using microorganisms, genetic modification.
